I feel sachin is the best than bradman ..wat do U say?
Sachin Vs Bradman
1.Pressure
Tendulkar played under huge pressure.1 billion people expecting you to perform in each and every match. To perform consistently well for 17 years as per expectation is just Brilliant!!! Bradman never had such pressure in his whole career apart from bodyline and in his last innings against England. And just look what pressure can do.His average which usually over 100 in maxium series came down to just 52 in bodyline. When the whole world was watching him to score just 4 runs in his last innings he couldn’t even score 4 runs..??? This is what pressure is all about..And Tendulkar goes through such pressure in each every match.Even matches like against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe..With one failure public media everyone in India start criticising the Greats of Indian cricket… Still he is performing consistently..Isn’t this amazing.
2.Number of Matches
Bradman played 52 tests in 20 years whereas Sachin played 132 test in 17 yearsIn Bradman’s time not many matches played.Players easily got 7-8 days of gap in between 2 tests of a series. In one year only 4-5 tests played…There were no ONEDAYS.Nowdays there are too much of ODI’s.Once a series starts..you won’t get any chance for rest..5 ODI completes in 12-13days and as soon as ODI series over Test series starts..in between test only 3 days of gap..No rest for players..And they have to play each test. and ODI. In Bradman’s times you could get 7-8 days for rest… and total numbers of matches 4-5..and look at today’s cricket.. Atleast 10 Test and 30 ODI each year..and in ODI’s u can’t play cricket wid peace at all..After every ball u have to look to the score board..have to accelerate anytime in the innings many times from the begining…Pressure wid no rest!!
3.Position of Batting
Bradman usually came at no.3 or no.4 and mostly when the score were 176 for 1 or 217 for 2..No pressure!! Just play the natural game and dominate the bowling.Sachin usually came at no.4 and ..Mostly when India lost both the openers.and the scoreboard looks like 20-2!!! And then this best batsman of all time rescue the team.In OneDay Sachin opens and start blazing guns from the begining and then steady in middle overs and again all guns blazing in last 10 overs!!
4.Opposition
Bradman played mostly against England and he got used to that bowling thats why scored over 5000 runs wid an average of around 92.One series against each minnows[India,SouthAfrica and WestIndies were new in cricket that time] and scored heavily against them.Never played in Indian Sub-Continent against Indian spinners.Playing at Indian pitches is never been easy for any batsman.Nowdays Australian thinks Ricky Ponting is the best batsman after Bradman from Australia.Look his record in India, just 14!! Sachin’s average in Australia is above 54.Ponting’s average in England is just 42 and Sachin’s average in England is above 70..well Ricky Ponting is another issue. A batsman is perfect when he scores against really class bowlings.Excluding Larwood Bradman never played any quality bowlers.Whereas Sachin played against Ambrose-Walsh-Bishop,Wasim-Waqar-Akhtar,… and many more.Played not well on own wicket but also played well at all pitches all over the worlds.Just see the class of fielding nowdays,Rhodes,Ponting,Gibbs..The standard of fielding is far more better than it was in that time!!!
5. Conclusion
I just can’t accept Bradman as the all time best batsman just because his stunning average of 99.94. Cricket is not game of only averages..There are many other things should be consider like the standard of playing cricket.Nowdays so much of technology used so that you can take out weak areas of a particular player. The standard of fielding is just too gud.The Media hype and pressure is so much.Lots of cricket played..scoring on every part of the world.Sachin not only play role in batting but also in many other areas like Sachin can spin the bowl like Shane Warne Sachin never affraid of taking responsibilties.Tendulkar took the ball from Azhar and Kapil in Hero Cup Semifinal and bowled the last over and not led the SouthAfrica to score 6 runs to win the match.Just imagine if those runs were scored.Public and Media of India pheewww… But still then Sachin ready to take other burdens and pressure on themseleves…Tendulkar one of the finest outfielder and his throws from boudries always flat and just over the stumps..
this is how I think.I love watching Sachin playing . plays backfoot

Additional Details
He got into international cricket at the age of 16
most well behaved cricketer of all time
moreover bradman got those runs against beer bullies and most against England as well and against aged attack of 40 year old players…now the standard of cricket ,fielding is pretty high….
Tendulkar is probably the most complete batsman the game has seen ….I think so …
H
even the grt hadllee, sunny felt the same
First and foremost, it was commonplace in the thirties and forties to maintain attacking fields throughout the innings (there is one famous picture of the Don with 300 on his name but with three slips and a gully still standing in position..now at 36 sachin scoring against younger players and still dominating them….with high standard well spreaded fielding …
With the type of fielding bradman had sehwag can score almost 600 runs per day..so will u say he is better than bradman?
which record will stand forever?
an average of 99.4
or
100 international hundreds
Thank You for all comments
But I cant change my view…
Sachin is the best .
let us see what the world will say after another 20 years …

This is why Brandsman is in no comparison to Tendulkar and an average batsman according to todays standards !!
First, Bradsman (Don) had only to faced one major team England, which agreed was a threat to watch during those days, but not a major threat in accordance to todays standards where Sachin, facing different teams, with every other team being a threat, also take a note of the changing conditions and variety of different pitches unlike the Don’s times.
Bradman had only really faced two bowlers of genuine pace, and they found him out! The quickest of them all was an Aboriginal named Gilbert!..And he found the Dons technique out very quickly, it is rumored that it was the Don who had Gilbert declared a ‘chucker’ and drove him from the game! The other was Harold Larwood!..Not by todays standards a fast bowler at all 140-145 k’s but much faster than anybody else around! they were ‘yards’ quicker than any of the Australian ‘military mediums’!..My Point is Bradman had a huge technique fault on the leg stump all his career! This was finally discovered in 1948 by Yardley, the England captain, and the Don was constantly being caught at leg slip!..If he had to face bowlers coming at his hip at 150-158 k’s and short of a length!..His wonderful average would be more that halved! Bradman (Don) never really had to face bowlers of more than medium pace,
So todays standards he could have been an average batsman, very much overrated and no where in comparison to Tendulkar, but having said that he was a sensation during his times, reminding, that the old major team he faced was England and not very much was needed to get accustomed too, regarding different pitches, when compared to at present standards, where games are held & played around the world, with different pitches and conditions!!

Sachin vs Bradman is probably the most discussed topic in this section.
but till date there has’nt been much change in peoples views over here!

This same essay is copy and pasted everytime the comparison is made.
Sir Donald George Bradman is the cricketest cricketer ever and that will not change for a long time if ever.
1) Pressure
Bradman played during the era of the Great depression and the war and the entire country of Australia and other countries as well relyed on Bradman to give them a glimmer of happiness during the tough times and whenever he didn’t perform it was a sad day. Bradman carried the weight of keeping a country happy. Tendulkar does not have that pressure on him.
2) Number of Matches
Well you can’t even use that as a reason. It’s not Bradmans fault there wern’t as many test matches back then as there is now. Player travel in first class jets these days and can be in another country in hours but Bradman had to travel by boat which took days even weeks to get to the venue to even start a test match so obviously he played tests less fequantly.
And ODI’s wern’t even invented then so how can you bring that into the equation, Bradman would have excelled at that as well.
3) Position of batting
For all i know them stats you suggested are made up, Bradman made heaps of individual centuries where the rest of the team got out cheaply, so again this point is incorrect
4) Opposition
What about the mass of runs Sachin has scored against all the minnows, Bradman didn’t have this luctuary
5) Conclusion
Bradman had little to no protective equpiment playing on uncovered pitches which was not only very difficult to bat on but dangerous.
Because Bradman was so good teams had to change the way the played against him and tintroduced bodyline which was very bad sportsmanship and Bradman still averaged 52 which is just below Sachins average.
99.94
So all your points don’t really mean much
Couldn’t be bothered reading all that sh!t.
You Indians are just jealous that you have never had anyone as good as BRADMAN.
You seem to be asking the sh!t time and time again.
u make a very valid point and u have opened up my mind
i say now yes sachin is better than bradman
actually reading mytch’s and the below us’s answer i say bradman is better but tendulkar is closing in
u’s both put up good arguments the indian guy and the the two non indian guys
Hi Ram K Bangalore.
I fully understand that a lot of people on here grew up watching Sachin (i did too) and he is a hero to Billions of people around the world, and there is no doubt in my mind that he’s the Greatest ODI player who ever stepped onto a Cricket field, but Sir Donald Bradman is the Greatest batsmen who has ever lived, and i want to tell you why.
1. Pressure. No doubt Sachin has the most pressure on his shoulders that any Cricketer has ever faced, but still i don’t think that it puts him ahead of Bradman.
You say Bradman ONLY averaged 52 in the Bodyline series. I can’t believe you said "ONLY", Bradman averaged 52 (same as Brian Lara’s career average) when English fast bowlers were bowling fast and at his body. Bradman had no protection and one ball could have potentially killed him. These days bowlers aren’t even allowed to bowl 2 bouncers in an over in ODI Cricket, but Bradman managed to still average 52 in a Bodyline series.
You also say Sachin has to face pressure, yes he does, but Sachin doesn’t get criticized every time he fails, infact it’s the opposite. Sachin is untouchable, even if he fails he will never be dropped and it’s been like that since 1998.
2. Number of Matches. This is quite simple, Bradman played 234 matches for his State and average 90. It shows he could still maintain an Impossible average even with over 200 games.
Although the schedule for International Cricket is more hectic these days, in Bradman’s days it took weeks to travel from Australia to England. Weeks on a boat is very tiring and players can lose morale for such travelling, just as players can lose morale from a huge amount of games.
3. Position of Batting- That’s incorrect information. Wherever you retrieved that source, unfortunately it’s wrong. The Australian openers were great players but there average opening stand was around the 40′s, so Bradman was exposed to the new ball more often than not.
4. Opposition- Yes he only played England in the 30′s because that’s the only opposition that were on offer. England were no mugs in those days, and Bradman didn’t have Zimbabwe and Bangladesh to face to boost his average in those days. Larwood is reported to have bowled as fast as anyone, and because of uncovered pitches average spinners would get more turn and bounce than they would in these days.
5. Conclusion- Bradman would have averaged 99 in any era. Batting is easier these days, there’s no doubt Sachin Tendulkar had to face tougher bowling attacks, but he also has protection from the fast bowlers, most batsmen these days can go onto the front-foot against any fast bowler because they have the protection.
Field positions would have made little difference for Bradman, Bradman rarely hit the ball in the air, unless absolutely neccesary.
I apologise for the length of the answer, and i can assure you that i’m not biased as i’m neither Australian or Indian
same ive read another day in YA .. but hes the gr8 one alive
Bradman is light years ahead of Tendulkar.
No matter how many times you ask this question it doesnt make Tendulkar = Bradman.
More like Bradman = Tendulkar x 2
Players these days will play more matches in 3 years than Bradman played in 20, of course they will score more runs and 100′s and break more records, it doesnt make them any better, that isnt what cricket is about, records are just trivia.
All batsmen score less runs against better bowling, Bradman averaged 56 in the Bodyline series, the other Australian batsmen averaged around 30.
Tendulkar averages 139 in Tests against Bangladesh and 35 against South Africa.
Tendulker is great no doubt and agree to all the points praised by the asker,,but we cannot take away the greatness of DonBradman just by imaginary comparisons like presuure situation, crowd, rest days ,odi’s etc. There can be no end to the arguement until we say both are great.Who can answer,if one says ,can Tendulker score 29 centuries ,out of which 12 double and 2 triple centuries in 80 innings as Bradman did,at the end of 80 innings which he played.Tendulker’s average was 50.26. after 80 innings.Similarly.who can answer, how many centuries Bradman would have scored if he played 150 tests and started playing at the age of 17 years. Finally both are great.Bradman praised Tendulker saying he plays like him.Tendulker said ,it was great credit to be compared to Don Bradman. That is Quits,i suppose.I am personally a great fan of Tendulker because i have virtually seen all the innings he played,as for Don Bradman’s batting ,i just saw a vedio casette of some highlights of test matches, hence it is all second hand information about his greatness, which leaves to my imagination ,how he could score that many runs, and once 300 runs in a day also.
HEY! BRADMAN WAS BEST AND SACHIN IS BEST.
bradman is the most overrated cricketer ever
The Don scored most of his runs against bumbling, clumsy, inept, limited, unfit, sometimes ageing upper class twits with speed on a par with today’s club cricketers. There was no Marshall, Ambrose or Walsh. There was no Hadlee, McGrath or Lillee. There was no Akram or Waqar and there certainly was no Warne or Muralitharan to face so how can you measure his runs reasonably? You cannot!
Look at Graeme ‘flat pitch bully’ Hick’s record in county cricket compared to Test cricket and you will understand what I mean.
Watching videos of The Don I was struck by the amount of runs scored by the horizontal bat and i noted that he never never truly mastered batting on sticky wickets.
if there really is a blemish on his amazing record it is the absence of a significant innings on one of those ‘sticky dogs’ of old
The Don.
You don’t agree? You try to bowl to him all day and see him smashing you.
ahah
how does no sound? read kookie’s answer – his reasoning’s actually make sense, yours don’t.
to say that it would be possible for sehwag to bat insanely attacking on the pitches they played on back in bradman’s day is absolutely laughable.
bradman is the best, and always will be the best. there’s no way of trying to justify to anyone that he isn’t without subsequently making yourself look like an ill-informed douch-bag.

ROFL Wayne that’s classic
full agree … tendolkar ji the best . breadman waste .
Sachin is the BEST
Don badman is nothing but an Imaginary Player, In those days, they thought "as 0 have no value ,its nothing wrong if include 0 beside 90 or 50
thats it"
Can anyone tell me what was Badman’s S/R in his whole career ?
its crystal clear ,he is nothing but a FLUKE ,A COMIC HERO AND A jOKER like his fellow Aussies
*HEY GUYS REMEMBER ONE THING THE ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION WAS ALREADY ANSWERED BY BRADMAN ITSELF
*HE SAID SACHIN REMEMBERED HIMSELF(BRADMAN)AND SACHIN IS THE ONLY PLAYER FROM CURRENT PERIOD TO BE IN BRADMAN’S DREAM XI
*BOTH BRADMAN AND SACHIN ARE LIGHT YEARS AWAY FROM OTHERS WITHREGARD TO BATTING SKILLS
*BRADMAN TOO HAD PRESSURE U CAN’T BE HAPPY WHEN A CONSTANT SCORING GUY TO GET POOR RUNS.HE WAS UNDER PRESSURE TO PERFORM
*ANY WAY SACHIN AND DON BRADMAN ARE THE BEST
*U HAVE TWO EYES,LEGS,KIDNEY’S,HANDS etc if someone asks one in all organs would u give it this question is similiar to u r question
FOR ME BRADMAN AND SACHIN ARE SAME BUT SACHIN IS TRAILING HIM(sachin is a student and bradman the teacher)
Sachin is a great admirer of Don. Don applaued the talent of Sachin and gone to the extent of including him in Dream Team, the only current player to be included.
As they are of different ages, and both are exceptionally talented gentlemen, it would be highly unfair to judge who is the greatest amongst them. I would appreciate if this debate is put to an end once and for all.
EDIT: Ashish Bhatia…: Read my answer.
bradman is god of cricket.bradman is great and he have chatted with baseball legend babe ruth..
So you know better then all the world’s experts? Even your own fellow Indian experts? WOW! you must be clever. NOT! Look at KooKee’s answer, he is without doubt, the most knowledgeable person in this section, & he says Bradman is the best ever. It does you no credit to post things that aren’t true, people lose respect for you. It also shows you have little knowledge of cricket. When you grow up you will realise how foolish it was to post such a thing. It is OK to have Sachin as your hero, but don’t rubbish the greatest ever player in the history of the game,Bradman.
Just because you post this doesn’t make it true, because it isn’t.Disrespecting a great person like Bradman just makes you a goose in everyone’s eyes.Ask Sachin himself, he will soon put you right.
Not again..
You cant compare the two legends. They both are God and Gods are not compared
